About Us

Senior HR leadership that shows up for the long game.

True Good Advisory was built on a simple belief: growing companies deserve the same quality of people leadership that enterprise companies take for granted.

Two practitioners. One focused practice.

True Good Advisory combines executive HR strategy with hands-on leadership development — brought together by two practitioners who have spent their careers building people-first organizations.

Aclesia Miller
Founder & Principal HR Partner

Aclesia Miller is a senior HR leader with deep expertise in building people infrastructure for high-growth organizations. She has spent her career embedded inside companies navigating rapid scale — partnering with CEOs and leadership teams to design the systems, culture, and structures that allow organizations to grow without fracturing.

Her work spans people strategy, workforce planning, HR compliance, talent acquisition infrastructure, performance management, and employee experience. She brings a practitioner's instinct to every engagement — grounded in what actually works at the stage when 75 employees becomes 150, and 150 becomes 300.

Aclesia founded True Good Advisory to give growing companies access to the caliber of people leadership that has historically been reserved for larger organizations — available now, without the permanent hire.

Jon Miller
Leadership Development Partner

Jon Miller brings decades of experience in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and executive coaching. He partners with True Good Advisory's Option B clients to design and deliver manager training programs and 1:1 coaching that translate strategy into how people actually lead.

His work is grounded in the belief that the quality of a company's managers determines the quality of its culture — and that great management is a learnable craft. Jon has worked with leaders at companies across industries, helping them develop the skills, self-awareness, and habits that build strong teams.

For True Good Advisory clients, Jon operates as an embedded member of the engagement — not an add-on consultant, but a partner who understands the org, the goals, and the leaders he's working with.

Our approach to people work.

These aren't brand values we invented for a website. They're the principles that shape every engagement we take on.

01
Capability before diagnosis

We lead with what we build — not a list of what's broken. Every company has gaps. What matters is the vision for what strong looks like and the plan to get there.

02
Infrastructure before programs

Culture perks and one-off programs don't hold without structure underneath them. We prioritize the systems — comp frameworks, career ladders, performance design — that make everything else sustainable.

03
People data as a strategic asset

Turnover, engagement signals, exit interviews, and manager feedback tell a coherent story. We help leadership teams read it clearly and act on it deliberately.

04
Managers are the lever

The single biggest driver of employee experience is the direct manager relationship. We invest in manager development because the returns compound — across teams, across quarters, across the entire org.

05
Embedded, not external

We show up in leadership meetings, partner with the CEO directly, and understand the business well enough to give HR advice that fits — not generic best practices dropped into the wrong context.

06
Lasting capability, not dependency

The measure of a good engagement is whether the company is stronger when we exit. We build internal capability alongside every system we create.

07
Efficiency by design

We don't equate hours with value. Every engagement is structured to move fast, eliminate unnecessary process, and deliver results that compound — so clients feel the impact immediately, not eventually.

08
AI as a force multiplier

We actively leverage AI tools to accelerate research, surface patterns in people data, draft and iterate on HR frameworks faster, and extend our capacity — so clients get more strategic output without more overhead.

How a True Good Advisory engagement unfolds.

01

Discovery call

A 30-minute conversation about your company, where you are, and what senior HR partnership could unlock. No pitch — just a clear read on fit, followed by a mutual decision about whether to move forward.

02

Scoping and proposal

If there's a fit, Aclesia builds a proposal that reflects your specific company's stage, challenges, and goals — with a clear scope, deliverables, and pricing for both engagement options.

03

Discovery week

Week one of the engagement is deep immersion: leadership team conversations, culture and process review, and a 90-day people roadmap delivered by end of week two. You'll know exactly what we're building and why.

04

Active engagement

Aclesia works embedded in your leadership team — attending the meetings that matter, partnering with your CEO on people decisions, and executing the roadmap. Jon Miller activates for Option B clients from this point forward.

05

Transition or renewal

At the end of the initial six months, we assess what's been built, what the next chapter looks like, and the right ongoing model — whether that's renewed partnership, a lighter advisory retainer, or a successful transition to a full-time HR hire.

Let's find out if we're the right fit.

Book a 30-minute discovery call. We'll talk through where your people infrastructure is today, what's most important to build, and whether True Good Advisory makes sense for your company right now.
