Typically 10โ€“20 hours per week, scoped to your actual needs rather than a fixed hour count. What matters is outcomes โ€” we establish clear expectations in the agreement and adjust as needs evolve.
What does the first week look like? โ†“
Week one is discovery: leadership team conversations, culture and process review, and a preliminary people assessment. By end of week two, you receive a prioritized 90-day roadmap. Then we're active and executing.
Can we add recruiting or workshops to a retainer engagement? โ†“
Yes โ€” all of True Good Advisory's services can be combined. Many retainer clients add project-based work (like an onboarding build) or workshop programs within the same engagement. We scope it together.
What happens after the 6-month engagement? โ†“
Most clients renew. At the end of the initial term we assess what's been built, what remains, and the right ongoing model โ€” whether that's renewal, a lighter advisory retainer, or a successful transition to a full-time hire with the infrastructure we built together.
